"We saw the sticker and label market growing in 2020, and we were really looking for a machine that could output the speed, the durability, and the quality that we needed. We looked at all the major players in the market, and it really came down to the Canon Colorado printer series. We buy more ink and run more media than the cost of the printer. It was a no-brainer for us." - Gene Hamzhie, President and CEO of FireSprint

Canon Colorado V4.5 Has Arrived
Canon U.S.A., Inc. is excited to announce new firmware upgrades to the Colorado M-series large-format printers V4.5.
Colorado M-series V4.5: Bringing New Functionality To Roll-to-Roll Printing
- Streamlined Loading: The new process of loading textile rolls into the Colorado M-series printers guides operators along the way, ensuring that textiles are perfectly flat and properly positioned to help prevent damage and improve output quality. This also significantly reduces media loading time, thereby increasing productivity.
- Two (2) New Print Modes: Matte Density (two ink layers) and Backlit High-Density (three ink layers) are ideal for soft signage applications; their multiple printing layers provide exceptional backlit results for such applications as silicon-edge graphics often used in retail settings.
- Both modes provide precise light control and blocking for higher-density images without unwanted light bleed.
- They also enhance the existing advantages of UVgel technology, which includes high-quality, stretchable, scratch-resistant, and odorless output with either a matte finish or a mixed matte and gloss appearance using the optional FLXfinish+ Technology.
- Improved Media Range: The Colorado M-series printers now support thicker, roll-to-roll media, up to 1.6 mm thick—double the previous limit! This not only helps with unattended printing operations, but it also reduces production interruptions and media waste. Moreover, it opens the door for greater applications, including interior design and wall coverings.
- Enhanced Service Connectivity: These latest improvements can help boost uptime, reduce maintenance with Order Routing System connectivity checks and key operator maintenance part validation, and improve curing diagnostics and wake-up temperature settings.
